Satellite Gallery
The Satellite Gallery Program is one of the many ways the Tiger Hills Arts Association serves its communities.
Satellite Galleries are a beneficial part of our programming as it provides us a venue to display artworks outside of our main Gallery as well as allows us to be more visible in the many communities we serve. The THAA covers a large region spanning over seven municipalities and it is with important partnerships like these that we are able to share the wonderful world of Art with a larger audience. Furthermore Satellite Galleries allow us to also reach a new audience at each location, while the artists and their work also receive additional exposure. A collection of artwork will be displayed in the Satellite Gallery for four months and then we will introduce a new collection.
We are excited to announce our first Satellite Gallery partnership with the MMJS Law Office in Treherne!
You are invited to drop into the MMJS Law Office during office hours to view the artworks.
If you are interested in becoming a Satellite Gallery in partnership with the
Tiger Hills Arts Association please contact us for more information.
Artist: Judy-Ann Cazemier
Judy-Ann Cazemier is a fine art photographer and greeting card designer creating Judy-Ann’s Nature Cards from her nature photos. She received her education from Grades 5 to 12 in Treherne, Manitoba and received her first camera, a Kodak 174 Instamatic, at age 10. Raised by her mother Rev. Catharina Allan and dad Jack Allan, inspired by her sister Margaret, Judy finished high school with honours before earning her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Winnipeg and two diplomas in photography at Humber College in the Toronto area.
Despite residing in the bustling city for 38 years, Judy considers herself a Westerner deeply connected to the natural world and passionate about photography. For the last nine years, she has focused on bird photography and created Bird Book, a collection of photographs of our feathered friends, as well as Finding Wings: Photographing Birds in and around Toronto. Judy works for the Artists’ Network at the Leslie Grove Gallery in Toronto. Please contact her at judycazemier@gmail.com and/or view her website at www.judyanncazemier.ca.
Bird portraits come to life in my fine art photography. They are beautiful although challenging to photograph since they move and can fly away. “Birds are meant to be free; that is why they have wings,” wrote bird-guide author Roger Tory Peterson. Photography gives me a thrill, whether capturing a moment in time, selecting the best images from a photo assignment, or the happiness of seeing my photographs on display.
Patricia Beech
Bio
“I paint with acrylic on canvas and have for many years. I did start out using pastels on heavy drawing paper as it was so easy to blend colors and do quickly.
I also tried the oils as my mother and aunt painted with this but wasn’t great at waiting for the paint to dry.
Most of my paintings have been on consignment (or sold) from PEI to Vancouver. That happened through word of mouth and displays with all different scenes and subjects.
My paintings are varied with nature subjects, animals and birds. I will paint whatever the patron wants as well.
My training and studies were horticulture and landscaping. I find it hard to beat Mother Nature and all the beautiful colors.
Over the years I have attended seminars and have many books by well-known painters but I usually go back to doing it my way.

The exhibit will feature watercolours
“Water Cavern”, “Siberian Iris”, and “Riding Mountain National Park”
Award winning artist Margaret Law is self-taught from Cartwright, Manitoba, Canada. After 40 years in Winnipeg, Margaret retired to her hometown with her husband Brian, and her dog Sam. She now busies herself with gardening in the summers and works on her art in the winters.
At the beginning of her career, Margaret painted in oils and acrylics, but for the last 30+ years she has been painting exclusively watercolour. Margaret’s use of bold colours and exceptional attention to detail give her a style that stands out amidst traditional watercolour technique.
The out-of-doors is a running theme throughout Margaret's works. Her love of gardening and nature are apparent through her detailed close-ups of flowers and snap-shots of trees, rocks and water.
Margaret's work was selected for four consecutive years from 2014 to 2017 for the Manitoba Arts Network Central Region Juried Art Exhibition Tour. Her paintings were selected for the Manitoba Rural and Northern Art Show in 2014, 2016, & 2017 with Redwood Pines being honoured as an award winner.
Aaron Beirnes
Aaron Beirnes
Graphite Drawings
Biography: Aaron Beirnes grew up in Regina before returning to his hometown of Winnipeg when he was 16. After getting interested in art while in high school he has continued to produce work that reflects his interests in subjects that speak to him in some way. Sometimes it’s the way the shadows react on a human face, sometimes it’s as simple as a news story that catches his attention. Such as the tragic death of the gorilla Harambe’s death. Aaron felt compelled to honor this gentle giant the way he knows best... in black and white. Aaron draws mostly for himself, once in a while as a gift for a friend and always in black and white which he believes captures a subject at their most impactful.
