BIOGRAPHY: Patricia Beech writes, “I paint with acrylic on canvas and have for many years. I did start out using pastels on heavy drawing paper as it was so easy to blend colors and do quickly.

I also tried the oils as my mother and aunt painted with this but wasn’t great at waiting for the paint to dry.

Most of my paintings have been on consignment (or sold) from PEI to Vancouver. That happened through word of mouth and displays with all different scenes and subjects.

My paintings are varied with nature subjects, animals and birds. I will paint whatever the patron wants as well.

My training and studies were horticulture and landscaping. I find it hard to beat Mother Nature and all the beautiful colors.

Over the years I have attended seminars and have many books by well-known painters but I usually go back to doing it my way.

I enjoy what I do and currently have eight framed paintings at the Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba in Brandon. They will be there until the end of March 2023.”
